community spaces

Public spaces are at a premium in Shimla. The forest department had helped level a 2000 sqft 'eco park' @ the year 2000 in our neighbourhood. This was unused, had been overrun by nature and needed repairs.

Late 2014, keeping in mind the need of a safe playscape for kids and adults, a space for community discussion and an evacuation and rallying point in the case of emergencies, the community and I are worked to repair and upgrade this space.

Our Shiv Mandir premises was refurbished and a community hall created. This project was fully funded and managed by the Village Andri Community.
